Ros Stephen
Ros Stephen is a violinist, composer and teacher based in London. .She is a founding member of the tango ensemble Tango Siempre and has performed on BBC television and radio, in West End Theatre and at leading concert venues and theatres in the UK and Europe. She leads the Sigamos String Quartet, with whom she has recorded several critically acclaimed albums, and she recently co-created the musical score to the hit West End show “Midnight Tango”. Ros is also a committed teacher, and enjoys working with students of all ages and experience. Her first book in the Globetrotters series, Violin Globetrotters, was published to popular and critical acclaim, receiving the award for Best Education Publication at the 2011 Music Industries Association Awards. Ros has since written Globetrotters books for cello, flute, clarinet, and Bb and Eb saxophones. Several Globetrotters pieces have been included in the ABRSM exam syllabus. Ros is also the author of “Argentinian Tango and Folkloric Music”, a collection of traditional and original pieces, published by Schott Ltd; books are currently available for violin, flute and accordion.

Shanti Jayasinha
Trumpeter and composer Shanti Paul Jayasinha studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London. He is widely recorded, has performed with a number of leading artists across the world, and is a founder-member of ShantiJazzWorld and a world-jazz trio with John Crawford and Ramesh Crawford. He has led workshops for the Grand Union Orchestra and ABRSM, runs large-scale educational projects in London, Essex, and Cambridgeshire, and is a teacher at the Centre for Young Musicians.
Melanie Henry
Born in Manchester, Melanie studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Richard Addison and Derek Honner. As a soloist and ensemble player she has made numerous recordings and performed concerts worldwide. Recent engagements include productions of Sylvia (Royal Opera House), Turandot (Royal Opera House) and concerts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Sounds Positive.
Melanie teaches at Trinity Laban and examines and adjudicates in other Conservatoires. She is also a syllabus selector for the Associated Board and is currently revising the saxophone repertoire lists. Melanie was honoured to be awarded an ARAM last year. Melanie is in much demand as a woodwind ‘Doubler’ in the West End and has played in Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, La Cava, Passion and Grease to name but a few! Recent engagements include South Pacific (Royal National Theatre) and Just So (Chichester Festival Theatre). She also recorded the cast album for both shows.
Nicky King
Nicky King studied the flute at the Royal Northern College of Music with Trevor Wye and Kate Hill. She has worked as a freelance flautist with numerous UK orchestras and is an experienced flute teacher.
